Solid black eyes slowly peeled open, moving past the shadowy hair that hid them and up to the ceiling. Flat on his back on the hardwood floor that he had slowly started sinking into, a soft breath escaped him in a warm puff penetrating through his own chilled aura. "Do you like surprises?" came the hauntingly, tauntingly soft voice.

He was curled up beside who else? He didn't seem phased when the man spoke though he yawned, his tail giving casual flicks to the side, signaling her was awake. One amber eye slowly opened to regard him thoughtfully. Surprises?

"Do you think me unfair?"

If he had been human his eyebrows would have knit together and lips would have pursed. "Not particulary. Should I?"

Dulled, empty eyes continued their blank stare towards the ceiling. Towards the heavens. Always looking towards the stars. "Say you that I excel in producing solutions to humanity and divinity's greatest problems alike?"

"Why would you want to solve them? Shouldn't humanity fix their own problems?"

It was the least of his concerns, nor the point he was getting at, as heated a discussion the matter could be. Boredly, he slowly pulled himself up onto his elbows, reclining back slightly, allowing heavy eyes to fall on the opposite wall of the vast chamber. "And what of ...your problem....?" he asked slowly, words gracefully rolling over a blasphemous tongue.

Both eyes opened wide, eyeing his master carefully. He stood and stretched his body, yawning, as if not caring about the question. "What problem?"

A faint smirk twitched at the corner of full lips before falling back to a thin blank line. "It occurs to me that misfortune has fallen harder upon some than others...during the flux..." ---'Why dost thou urge me?'--- Spindly fingers delicately smoothed over the soft fur of his feline companion, his unforgiveably icy touch nearly turning the fine hairs to icicles. "Again, I have the solution."

A soft purr emitted from his throat, but the hirs stood up and her shivered. A touch that could freeze time itself. He didn't mind being a cat. He was allowed to sleep the day away, chase rat and bring them to Sammy in his more frisky moods, kids took to him, as did human adults. Other animals never fucked with him. "...Solution?" He was listening.

"The game will not start if there are too many players on the court, according to traditions..." he said, lazily rolling over onto his stomach. "And being as fair as I am..." His words trailed off into thoughts, haunting thoughts leaking through his complex and spilling through the streets until they discovered and rested upon a certain fallen angel. An extra pawn. A lost time traveler. A distraction. Obstruction. ...Annihilation. "...I cannot tolerate benchwarmers." Fingers again found that soft black fur spilling over them. "Let us make it fair then, and allow all of the team a chance to play. I am going to recycle him and fetch you a new body; that way, I may better ensure that he make it worth my while before his expiration."

Now this was interesting. It caught his attention and his ears swivled to listen even better. A new body? Who was giving it up? Did it matter? He could be human. How long has it been..since he knew what it was like to walk on two legs and not four. "Who?" No beating around the bush here.

His eyes merely turned to the feline's. "One with the pretense of being as far Fallen as we."

Ohohohoho. He moved closer rubbing against his masters hand. "A fallen eh? Pray tell.."

"Concern yourself not over the details but the product," he advised, skeletal digits reciprocating the affection. "My angels have always been my priority..." ---'Why dost thou urge me? I will not worship an inferior and younger being.'--- "And so you shall be happy. And so too will I be happy. And when Sammael is happy...." He turned flickering bright eyes towards the ceiling.

Everyone's happy. He wondered; if this was more of him or that Sammael was able to get it and flaunt it. Perhaps both but he questioned neither. "It will be nice to have a body.." He wondered aloud. It would ne nice indeed.

He said nothing more, having already lost himself to thought, eyes locked onto the unbreakable ceiling, the impenetrable glass wall that enforced his never rising again. ---'...with me, I will set my seat above the stars of heaven and will be like the Highest.'---     "...why dost thou urge me?"
